JOB SUMMARY:
Perform skilled and unskilled work of average to considerable difficulty in the accomplishment of various tasks and projects for waterproofing services. Typically, working on the exterior of buildings from scaffolding or suspended platforms
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL LEVELS:
- 3-5 years related construction experience
- 1-3 years waterproofing experience
- High School / GED preferred
- Bilingual preferred
- Must be able to travel out of state
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / TASK:
- Wet seal: Glass to Metal – be able to install a 3/4″x 1/4″ flat tooled joint
- Metal to Metal splices – be able to install a 1/2″w x 1/8″ thick joint with straight edges
- Precast and other stone material – be able to prep surface to be caulked and install different size joints with a curved tool. The depth of the joint can be no less than a 1/4″ and no greater than a 1/2″
- The ability to apply sealant (caulking) according to plan / product specifications
- Proper use of power washing equipment , solutions and waste water abatement techniques
- Disposal of debris including sweeping, vacuuming or blower.
- Maintain a safe and clean working area, as it may be adjunct to tenants, pedestrians or personal property
- Maintain safety standards set by American Restoration Group safety policies.
- Attend and participate in safety meetings and supervisory meetings as required.
- Able to have team concept approach actively participating in problem-solving certain situations
- Preform additional assignments per supervisor direction
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Repeatedly stand, walk and sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, bend body downward and forward, bending at the knees, and lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. Working conditions may occasionally be loud.
- Must be able to rotate from tasks including to lifting boxes / bags, working with sealing equipment, small machinery for including grinders, drills, chipping & demolition hammers, and misc. cutting tools.
- Operate (vibrating and rotating) smalls hand tools for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to understand and follow directions and work as a team for the good of the project.
- Able to properly use tools and equipment. Own basic hand tools; hammers, wrenches, drivers, sockets, pliers, etc.
- Compliant in wearing personal protective equipment.
- Compliant with all OSHA safety requirements.

Perform skilled and unskilled work of average to considerable difficulty in the accomplishment of various tasks and projects for concrete repair services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL LEVELS:

- 1-3 years concrete repair or masonry experience
- High School / GED preferred
- Bilingual preferred

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / TASK:
- Able to use to remove corners of spall repair and prepare spall to accept concrete or remediation products.
- Properly prepare joints and cracks by grindings and cleaning to allow for adherence of sealant or epoxy injection.
- The ability to apply sealant or ejections according to plan / product specifications
- Preparation and application of traffic coatings (includes cleaning, power wash, rolling and abrasives) to product specifications
- Installing sophisticated anchoring systems including fiber wrap applications to engineer specifications
- Masonry and tuck-pointing to include remove and replace existing brick
- Disposal of debris including sweeping, vacuuming or blower.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL LEVELS:
- 3-5 years related construction experience
- 1-3 years working knowledge of waterproofing and restoration industry, to include curtain wall, sealants, coatings, expansion joints, masonry and product applications.
- College Degree with a focus in Construction Management preferred
- Strong mathematical skills
- Expert user of Excel and related products
- Must be able to travel out of state
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / TASK:
- Bid Opportunity site visits or pre bid orientations
- Understanding of job / task requirements
- Physical “take offs” of proposed opportunity
- Defining / understanding a scope of work
- Determine labor unit costs, manpower requirements, skill sets, site expenses and scheduling. From mobilizations to the task to perform remediation. Determine if can be done internally or by sub-contractors. Secure competitive bids from sub-contractors
- Understanding of material applications requirements an specifications including cost, as defined by scope of work
- Define equipment required to perform remediation and its cost to rent. This includes safety, scaffolding, mechanical, debris disposal or containment, EPA and local regulation compliance etc.
- Determine required licensing and local covenants to perform remediation..
- Complete to submit as a “Bid of Services” and to be translated to internal budgets and pay applications
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to comprehend complex engineering drawings and specification
- Detail oriented in reading voluminous job specifications
- To accurately measure areas, lengths, widths, depths etc. of proposed remediation areas
- Ability to work and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. During “take offs” may be required to traverse roofs, sides of buildings, unleveled terrain using ladders, suspended platforms etc. Most work (90%) is done inside at a computer.
- Must have excellent communications skills both verbal and written. To meet with consultants, engineers, property owners, project managers, or job superintendents
- Ability to ask probing / defining questions to better understand bid requirements.
- Must utilize various and non-standard bid forms
- Must be able to understand and follow directions and work as a team for the good of the project.
- Must complete administrative duties and reporting in a timely manner
- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to take ownership of position and projects without prompting
